As I am entering into the last phase of my Zero Cost MBA(Envisioning 21st century global manager) project, it is worth to look back behind the success of this article.

At the time of writing this article(10th September 2014), there was hardly any support available towards online learning around me. MOOCs were still taking the shape in the mindset of people and coming out with an entire course based on publicly available material was close to impossible in thinking. Despite being a very innovative approach(often called as the path less traveled), it was difficult to explain a new ideology to the people. On the top of it, I was concerned about copying of my work and other people claiming to design such kind of work, when I was the first to come up with this idea. But if I won’t tell the world, who will believe?

Keeping all of these concerns in mind, I have postponed my plans to enter into professional life for some time. I have also decided to take pride in my innovative idea (something I would have not done 5 years earlier) and put efforts in increasing awareness about the open education/online learning around the world.

Thus started the next phase of Zero Cost MBA(Envisioning 21st century global manager), which is now running in the final stage. A year has passed since and I have taken my project to people around the world through media, conference presentations, blogs and personal interactions.

This entire exercise helped me in realization of potential of my project and feeling of being part of creating something very unique and innovative. It also gave me confidence that path less traveled can be rewarding, if one has courage to take them forward and showcase to the world.

I hope you will enjoy the article and feel the passion, energy, innovation, commitment in the same way as I felt while penning it.

Thanks!
