Quantification of Micro-mixing in Micro-flow Reactor (Bachelor thesis)

Project title: Quantification of Micro-Mixing in Micro-Flow Reactor
Duration: February,2008- April,2008
National Chemical Laboratory supervisor: Dr. Amol Kulkarni, Scientist, National Chemical Laboratory

National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India is a research, development and consulting organization with a focus on chemistry and chemical engineering.I was part of industrial flow modeling (ifmg)research group during my bachelor thesis.
I have carried out different experiments on commercially available micro-mixers to investigate the effect on pressure drop by changing physical parameters (density, viscosity and diffusivity) of the inlet fluids. A high speed image capturing digital camera has been used to measure the extent of mixing. The work has been carried out under the supervision of Dr. Amol A. Kulkarni.
