It has been started at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India in the year 2005 and I joined the organization initially as an active member and then later as the event co-coordinator for a semester term. As one of the board member, I was involved in smooth planning, promotion and execution of the events. Along with other team members, we have organized guest lectures, first anniversary celebrations, visit to planetarium etc. The membership drive and other things led to the development of many things.

Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) is an international Student
run organization headquartered at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT),
Cambridge, USA. . It aims at providing knowledge to students in the field of Astronomy
and also on Space based Technology. VIT Chapter of SEDS has started in the year 2006 and
since them rose of prominent club of VIT University.
First as an active member and later as a board member, I was involved in planning and implementing different activities of the chapter. Along with co-ordination of events, I was instrumental in launching various different initiatives. That included One-Space (a student outreach program for school students), Cubesat (a small satellite that fits into your bag), Ham Radio(amateur radio station of VIT) and SEDSIC 2007(first ever international student conference in VIT). All the programs are still going very strong andreached new heights in the coming years.
I was highly involved in the planning of SEDSIC (SEDS International Conference) organized in 2007, first ever international student conference in VIT. I was involved in the event such as job fairs and career talk.
